Darren A. Flynn
Darren Flynn is a singer-songwriter from Dublin, Ireland, crafting his own blend of Americana-infused folk country pop. He received a nomination for the Choice Music Award (the Irish equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize) as part of his previous band, Mongrel State, and has emerged as a solo artist delivering his own distinctive entertaining style of music, at once both retro and modernist.
Darren has performed extensively both in Ireland and internationally. His many domestic festival appearances include The Electric Picnic, Kilkenny Roots Festival, Vantastival, and Sligo Live. His European shows include Noget Bedre (Denmark), Feito a Man Festival, Santiago De Compostela (Spain).

Drogheda based singer songwriter Gerry Hodgers writes from the heart. His songs are quiet reflective types delivered with influences of Simon & Garfunkel, John Prine & Guy Clark.
Host of the renowned Purple Sessions & DJ with Downdaroad Radio, his love of americana and folk shows through in his songs. A story teller who wants to draw you into his world so that you might find yours hidden somewhere in the song.
With his Festival co-organiser, Darren A Flynn, both has strived to bring songwriters together to enable their creativity. The Drogheda Songwriting Festival is the vehicle of choice to bring Songwriting to more & more enthusiastic writers every year.
